| It's been half a year since Spotify made its debut on Android, and that seems like as good a time as any for a major update. Though still in beta, the next version of the Spotify app is available for download on the company's blog . Only subscribers can use the service on a mobile device, but there's a 30-day trial available for those desperate to check it out. The new app is a complete overhaul that is designed to address user concerns with the existing app while adding new features. Android 4.0 support is the most important addition, but there are many other enhancements. Top-to-bottom redesign All-new slide-out navigation Even more social – check out friends' profile pages and playlists on the go Artist imagery in high resolution Related artist view – available for the first time on mobile 'Extreme' sound quality setting for 320kbps listening So much faster! While this list describes all the new features in the preview, it isn't a complete list of features that will be in the final version. Spotify is working on adding Last FM scrobbling and folder support before declaring the re-design finished. You won't find the new version on Google Play – the company blog is the only way to download it.
